Jason’s Leadership

Posted on by Michael James

I first met Jason at the Crestwood Middle School JAM Club several years ago. He was a rambunctious and somewhat difficult middle school boy who participated every Friday morning. Over time he eventually gave his life to Christ. He became acquainted with First Baptist Church Royal Palm Beach through his guys 121 group that met on the church campus. While still in middle school he began attending the FBC youth group.

Now Jason is in high school and has matured into quite a different young man. He continues his participation with YFC through his Campus Life club and has continued attending the church youth group.

My co-worker Emily and I received a group text message last Friday nigh from Tate, the Youth Pastor at my church:

Me: Thank you. I might cry. (seriously)

Tate: I feel similar.

Me: I'm beside myself. Jason is the "least and left out."

Emily: This is gonna be a great opportunity to reach out to (his mother) too! So excited...

Tate: I took this picture of him during worship last week for you Kent. He ended up being a point leader; he had 4 middle school boys he led all week (During a spring break mission project in Savannah)

Emily: Sounds awesome!

Kent: Ilove our church and I love the partnership we have to expand Jesus' kingdom!!!

Youth for Christ is commited to working with the local church and like minded partners to raise up life-long followers of Jesus. Thank you for your supportive partnership.
